Father Manuel Gallo-Espinoza was accused of sexually abusing a 15 year-old boy in 2003. The abuse was reported to the prosecutor's office, but the criminal investigation was closed after Gallo-Espinoza fled to Ecuador. The criminal case was reopened when Gallo-Espinoza was found to have returned to America, but he fled back to Ecuador in 2014. Gallo-Espinoza has been permanently removed from ministry.
