Father John D. Spaulding was accused of sexual misconduct with a minor in the mid-1980s resulting in him being removed from the priesthood in 2011. Father Spaulding denied the allegation but did not cooperate with investigators. A second man filed a complaint in 2011 but the statute of limitations prevented prosecution. Other victims of Spaulding filed a lawsuit in 2012.
