Summary of Sexual Abuse allegations against Father John Francis Stein:
A man came forward about Father Stein saying that he sexually abusing him hundreds of times over a three-year period in the 1950s at St. Catharine of Siena in Iliff, Colorado. The abuse began when the boy was 10 years old. The survivor complained to the Archdiocese of Denver in 1992. The Archdiocese told the man that Father Stein had been laicized. The claim was settled in 1996 with a strict confidentiality agreement.
Father Stein died in 2001.
