In 2011, Wilfred Laurent Carignan was accused of molesting a youth while working at St. Benedict’s Monastery in Old Snowmass, CO, where he served as a beekeeper. The 6 th or 7 th grader boy was tutored by Carignan during the alleged abuse in approximately 2000. He was arrested in California in February 2008 for abusing children in Delta County. By 2011, Carignan was serving two separates prison sentences for abuse of other youth. Carignan worked at the monastery from 1996 to 2001.
