Summary of Sexual Abuse allegations against Father James Francis Hopkins:
Father James Francis Hopkins was accused of sexually abusing a minor boy in the early-1990’s, starting when he was 8 years-old and continuing until he was 10 years-old. Hopkin pleaded guilty to criminal charges, and a civil suit against Hopkins settled for $625,000. In 1995, Hopkins was removed from ministry after an earlier allegation of sexual abuse was reported to the Diocese. Hopkins was defrocked in 2018.
Father Hopkins was ordained in 1968.
