Deacon Maxwell Pelton was arrested in 2009 and charged with molesting a 10-year-old boy. Upon learning the charges, the Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted of the Diocese of Phoenix revoked Deacon Pelton’s faculties pending the outcome of the legal process and Diocesan review board investigation. Deacon Maxwell Pelton was named in a civil suit filed in 2010.
Deacon Pelton was ordained in 1991, retired in 2000.
