At Least 24 Victims in Franklin Strip Club Human Trafficking Investigation

Andreozzi + Foote Logo

A disturbing and brutal human trafficking ring has come to light in Franklin, Wisconsin. As investigators have revealed, a multi-year FBI and local law enforcement investigation uncovered that at least 24 individuals were victimized in a trafficking network tied to the On the Border Gentlemen’s Club, victims who were coerced, controlled, and forced into sex acts across multiple states.

But for those of us who work with survivors of exploitation and trauma every day, we know that 24 confirmed victims is almost certainly an undercount. Human traffickers manipulate systems, isolate victims, and force silence, which means many more people were likely harmed and may still be suffering in silence.

What the Investigation Uncovered

According to court filings and unsealed search warrants, the ring centered on the On the Border strip club in Franklin, where multiple men are now facing human trafficking and related charges. Prosecutors allege that:

  • Victims were coerced into performing commercial sex acts in the club’s VIP lounge and other locations.
  • Some victims were forced to surrender all the money they earned, kept isolated, and threatened with physical harm if they resisted.
  • The operation spanned multiple states, with some women trafficked for sex beyond Wisconsin.
  • Alleged recruiters and traffickers are accused of controlling victims’ movements, earnings, and even identities.

These are not isolated incidents; this is modern-day exploitation that looks different on the surface than the sanitized headlines often suggest.

But Behind the Numbers Are People, Real People

Every statistic we see, at least 24 victims, represents someone who was controlled, violated, and stripped of agency. And we know from decades of experience in trafficking advocacy that:

  • Many survivors never report what happened for years, if ever.
  • Traffickers use fear, manipulation, and threats of retaliation to keep victims silent.
  • Shame and trauma make the first step toward help feel like climbing a mountain.

So when authorities report 24 victims, advocates know this figure likely doesn’t reflect the full scale of harm; it reflects only the individuals who have been identified so far. And THAT is why community awareness, trauma-informed response, and survivor-centered advocacy matter more than ever.

We See You. We Believe You. And We Are Here for You.

If you or someone you love were affected by what happened in Franklin, or you experienced exploitation that looks like what’s being described, whether here, in another state, in a strip club, in a party setting, online, or in a situation that nobody “recognized” at the time, please hear this clearly:

No matter how long it’s been, no matter how confusing or complex the experience was, your story matters. And help is available.

Taking the first step toward support is one of the most courageous things a survivor can do. The fear that comes with it, fear of judgment, fear of retaliation, fear of exposing painful experiences, is real. And the courage it takes to speak up anyway? That courage is worthy of honor, not shame.

Andreozzi + Foote: Support, Resources, and a Safe Place to Start

We offer:

  • Confidential consultations with experienced victim advocates and attorneys
  • Trauma-informed support that centers survivor dignity
  • Guidance through reporting options, protective orders, and civil remedies
  • Connection to community and clinical resources for safety, housing, counseling, and stability

You do not have to define your experience by what happened to you. You do have the right to support, dignity, and justice. And when you are ready, we are here not to rush you, not to push you, but to walk with you step by step.

You Are Not Alone or Invisible

Survivors of human trafficking are often told their experiences aren’t real, that they should “move on,” or that speaking up will make things worse. That is not the truth. Your story is valid, and your pain is real. Therefore, focus on healing matters.

If you need safe, compassionate support, legal, emotional, or advocacy, we are here. You can reach out when you are ready, and you will be met with belief, care, and confidentiality.
