Daniel Hakim, 38, is facing charges of aggravated indecent assault and battery on a child under age 14, indecent assault and battery, and two counts of rape of a child. Hakim, a former teacher at the Saltonstall School in Salem, faces accusations of sexually assaulting 12 girls between the ages of 6 and 8.
The Allegations Against Daniel Hakim
The incidents occurred during Hakim’s tenure as a teacher at Saltonstall between 2015 and 2018. Initial charges of sexual assault on a student at Saltonstall were filed against him in late 2021, prompting additional disclosures from other girls.
In 2018, school authorities, the Department of Children and Families, and Salem police were informed of multiple allegations of inappropriate conduct by Hakim.

Hakim also worked at “Teen Challenge” program at the Brooks School in Andover from 2015 to 2016. His professional history includes roles as a health teacher at Shawsheen Elementary School in Wilmington from 2013 to 2015 and with the Collaborative for Educational Services from 2009 to 2013.
