Allegations Against Richard “Ricky” Brooks

Richard Mark Brooks Jr., 33, of Freehold, NJ, is a former restaurant manager in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

Known as “Ricky,” he has been charged in a criminal case involving allegations that he groomed multiple minor employees while working at Saladworks and Wendy’s locations, furnishing them with alcohol and drugs over the course of several years.

Investigators say they have interviewed ten juvenile victims and believe that there may be additional victims.

Alleged Conduct Involving Richard “Ricky” Brooks

The investigation into Brooks began on April 1, 2025, when the Plumstead Township Police Department received a ChildLine report alleging that a former manager at a Saladworks location in Plumstead Township was grooming a minor male employee.

Police later identified the manager as Brooks. From late 2023 to late 2024, Brooks had been the general manager at the Saladworks. As they investigated, they determined that he was both grooming the employee and providing him with alcohol and drugs. They also discovered that the alleged conduct was not isolated.

According to the police, “Ten victims, who were all juveniles and or minors, were subsequently interviewed, and it was learned that between 2020 and 2024 Brooks was furnishing juveniles and or minors alcohol, medical marijuana cartridges, nicotine cigarettes, and his prescribed Adderall medication.”

Plumstead Township Police Detective Kevin Larkin said that the victims were between 15 and 17 years old at the time of the alleged conduct.

Brooks also allegedly provided underage employees with keys to his residence at the Fonthill Apartments in Doylestown, where investigators say drugs and alcohol were supplied.

Brooks allegedly engaged in similar behavior while employed as a manager at the Wendy’s location in Doylestown between 2020 to 2022. Police also report at least one instance in which Brooks allegedly inappropriately touched a minor male’s genitals while he was employed there.

The Response to the Charges Against Brooks

According to reporting by Us Weekly, neither Saladworks nor Wendy’s responded to requests for comment regarding the allegations.

Additionally, Brooks “has denied supplying drugs or alcohol to employees at both locations, but admitted to having a medical marijuana license and bringing alcohol to work so he could consume it alone.” (NBC 10 Philadelphia)

Criminal Charges Filed Against “Ricky” Brooks

Court records show Brooks is currently facing 72 criminal charges, including felony and misdemeanor offenses.

These include twenty counts of corruption of minors, two counts of indecent assault, sixteen counts of manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, as well as charges tied to the selling and furnishing of alcohol to juveniles.

Brooks was arrested and arraigned on December 24, 2025. He remains incarcerated at the Bucks County Prison after being unable to post bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 12, 2026.

How to Report Grooming

Investigators believe additional victims may exist in this case and encourage anyone with information about Brooks’ alleged conduct to come forward.

Individuals may contact the Plumstead Township Police Department’s through their contact form or by calling (215) 766-8741

If you or someone you know is a victim of grooming or any form of sexual assault, you can contact RAINN’s National Sexual Assault Hotline, which offers 24/7 support.

While the criminal case focuses on Brooks’ alleged actions, a civil case can provide a separate path for victims to seek accountability from a business or institution who failed to protect them.

Civil cases involving workplace sexual abuse may examine whether companies failed to properly supervise managers, ignored warning signs or red flags, or allowed unsafe conditions to persist, particularly in workplaces that employ minors.
