PHILADELPHIA, PA — March 31, 2026 — Andreozzi + Foote has filed a civil lawsuit against Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom, Cedar Fair L.P., doing business as Cedar Fair Entertainment Corporation, and Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, following the sexual assault of a minor by a park employee. The suit alleges that the defendants failed to implement appropriate safeguards to protect minor guests from a predatory employee.
According to the complaint, the victim was 15 years old when she visited Dorney Park’s Haunted Halloween attraction in September 2021. During that visit, she encountered a 22-year-old employee, Anthony Casio, who was on duty at the display. The lawsuit alleges that Casio misrepresented his age as 17, befriended the victim, and exchanged social media contact information with her.
The complaint further alleges that Casio continued a friendship with the victim under the guise of a seventeen year old. On multiple occasions, Casio inappropriately touched the victim and manipulated her into thinking that those interactions were harmless fun, according to the complaint.
The complaint alleges that Casio later met the victim at a hotel room in Emmaus, Pennsylvania in October 2021, where he became physically aggressive and raped her.
He has since pleaded guilty to felony charges of statutory sexual assault and corruption of minors, and has been classified as a sexually violent predator.
Civil Lawsuit Alleges Liability
The lawsuit asserts claims for negligence, negligent hiring, and negligent supervision and retention against Dorney Park and its parent companies, Cedar Fair L.P. and Six Flags Entertainment Corporation.
According to the suit, prior to his employment at Dorney Park, Casio had a known and documented history of sexual misconduct, including a prior charge for sexual assault. Despite this history, the defendants hired Casio, placed him in a position of trust, and allowed him to work in close proximity to minors.
According to the complaint, the defendants were responsible for hiring, supervising, and retaining employees who had direct and indirect access to children, yet failed to properly investigate Casio’s background. The lawsuit further alleges that the defendants knew or should have known he posed a danger to minors.
Rather than restricting or removing him, the defendants allowed Casio to remain in his role. The complaint asserts that these failures created a foreseeable risk of harm, and that as a result, the plaintiff was sexually assaulted.
“These allegations raise serious concerns about how individuals with known histories of misconduct are placed in positions around children,” Veronica Hubbard, Partner, Andreozzi + Foote, said. “Businesses that invite families onto their property have a responsibility to take meaningful steps to protect minors. When they don’t enforce necessary protections, the consequences can be devastating.”
